1. Sauté:

1.1. Preheat fry pan on medium-high heat with 2 TSBS of lard and add:

1 onion – diced

Sauté with occasional stirring until glossy (usually about 2 – 3 minutes).

1.2. Add:

1 LB of beef shin – diced

And sauté with occasional stirring until light sear on the meat is reached – nice appetizing color (about 2 – 3 minutes).

1.3. Transfer into the sauce pan on the medium heat and dust with:

2 TBSP of all-purpose flour
1 TBSP of paprika

And cook with constant stirring until fully combined.

2. Stew:

2.1. Add:

1 TBSP of tomato paste
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
4 cups of beef broth/stock

Briefly stir.

Cook with occasional stirring for about 90 minutes.

5 cloves of garlic –  finely chopped
1 TSP of caraway seeds – ground
1 TBSP of marjoram – dried
2 PCS of potatoes – diced 
2 cups of water

And cook with occasional stirring until potatoes get fully cooked (usually aboutor 20 minutes).

Taste and salt and pepper if needed.
