Ingredients:
Basic Ingredients:
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 6 TBSP of frying oil (any kind) (adjust if needed)
- 3 cups of cheese of your choice - shredded (3)
Optional Protein:
- chicken – chorizo bites (store-bought or recipe here, my favorite)
- chicken bites (store-bought or recipe here)
- spicy pork bites (store-bought or recipe here)
- beef bites (store-bought or recipe here)
- tofu bites (store-bought or recipe here)
- salmon bites (store-bought or recipe here)
- black beans - canned, drained (do not reserve liquid) (or cooked, optionally substitute for another kind such as red beans)
Optional Vegetable:
- tomatoes - diced
- red onions - peeled and finely chopped (or other kinds)
- spring onions (or chives )
Put Inside or Serve as a Side:
Tools:
- 1x Measuring Cups
- 1x Measuring Spoons
- 1x Chef’s knife
- 1x Cutting Board
- 1x Large Fry Pan or Sauté Pan (or crape maker)
- 1x Turner (large)

Directions:
1. Prepare all ingredients:
1.1.
Prepare all basic ingredients.
1.2.
Prepare all optional ingredients you selected.
2. Pan fry quesadillas:
Note:
Work one by one, or use multiple pans at the same time.
2.1. Preheat a fry pan on medium-high heat with 1 TBSP of frying oil and add:
1 tortilla
2.2. While pan frying, evenly sprinkle over the entire top of the surface:
½ cup of cheese (1/6 of total amount)
2.3. Then add to the center of the quesadilla:
⅙ of the optional additional filling
2.4.
Fold the quesadilla in half and press with a turner to evenly distribute ingredients inside and pan fry until the bottom part turns slightly crispy (about 1-2 minutes).
2.5.
Then, carefully turn using a large turner, lightly press with the turner, and pan fry until the other part gets slightly crispy as well (about 1-2 minutes).
2.6.
Remove from the pan and repeat with the remaining ones.
3. Plating & serving:
3.1.
Cut each quesadilla into 4 triangles (each serving should include 4-6 triangles).
3.2.
Serve with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chimichurri, and/or queso.
