If you do not have the ground version of the spices, feel free to use them whole and crush them using a mortar and pestle, or a freezer bag and rolling pin, or a small kitchen food processor. For nutmeg and cinnamon, you can use a small hand grater.

Directions:

Let’s start with the preparation of an easy garam masala seasoning recipe.

1.1. Place all ingredients into the medium mixing bowl:

2 TBSP of ground coriander
1 TBSP of ground cumin seeds
1 ½ TSP of ground cardamom
1 ½ TSP of ground cloves
1 ½ TSP of ground cinnamon
1 TSP of ground pepper
Optional: 1 TSP of ground anise
Optional: 1 TSP of ground fennel seeds
Optional: ½ TSP of ground nutmeg

Thoroughly stir using a whisk until fully combined (usually for about 30 seconds).

2. Storage of Garam Masala Seasoning Recipe:

Note:
