Recipe Approval Process
We are always excited when someone publishes a recipe, and we can’t wait to review and publish it as soon as possible (ASAP). Recipes from all of you are one of the key pillars of CookingHub. Here you can learn more about the process.
Basics
To use the Recipe Editor to publish or edit a recipe, you need:
- An account on cookinghub.com (create a free lifetime account here)
- To be logged in
To publish new recipe:
- Open My Menu. (Learn more here).
- Select Publish Next Recipe. (This option is at the top of the menu and under Recipes > My Recipes > Publish Next Recipe.)
To edit an already published recipe:
- Open My Menu.
- Select Published Recipes. (This option is found under Recipes > My Recipes > Published Recipes) and locate the recipe you want to edit.
- Read more here.
How Does Recipe Approval Work?
1. Complete All Required Recipe Information:
- Fill in all fields marked with an asterisk (*).
- Include at least one title picture.
- Recipe directions are optional if you include a YouTube video, but we recommend writing them out.
2. Click “Submit” in the Recipe Action Menu:
- This sends your recipe for final approval.
- We will review it as soon as possible.
3. Awaiting Approval:
Important:
While your recipe is pending, you cannot edit, delete, or make it private.
During the approval process:
- Your recipe will be located in the Approval Pending Recipes folder (My Menu > Recipes > My Recipes > Approval Pending Recipes).
If your recipe is approved:
- Your recipe will be immediately published, and you can find it in the Published Recipes folder (My Menu > Recipes > My Recipes > Published Recipes).
- You will also receive an email with the subject Recipe Published (if you didn’t, please check your spam folder).
If your recipe is not approved and requires updates:
- Your recipe has been saved to the Draft folder (My Menu > Recipes > My Recipes > Drafts).
- You will also receive an email with the subject Recipe Edits Requested (if you didn’t, please check your spam folder).
- Information about what needs to be fixed will be available directly in the draft of the recipe (the email will not include exact instructions).
4. After Approval:
- You can move the recipe to draft for editing or delete it at any time (read more here).
Important:
- By submitting your recipe, you agree to CookingHub’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
- We reserve the right to decline any recipe for any reason, but we strive to publish as many as possible.
