Content on CookingHub
CookingHub is a unique recipe, social, and educational platform operated by a public charity, encouraging everyone to read and publish recipes and other cooking related content.
Basic Access
Currently, we offer the following content categories:
- Recipes: Published recipes from users and CookingHub staff.
- Budget Cooking: Recipes and information about how to prepare food on a budget (will be launched in Fall 2024).
- News: All sorts of news from the culinary world and CookingHub.
- Cooks: See cook profiles, including their recipes.
- Kitchen Guide: Learn cooking techniques and helpful tips.
- Food & Ingredients: Learn about ingredients for your delicious meals.
- Kitchen Tools: Learn about all the kitchen tools you may ever need.
- CookingHub Foundation: We are a public charity fighting hunger. Learn more about us.
How to access content:
Menu:
- You can access content categories using the Menu.
- A full-size version is available on high-resolution computers and tablets.
- The menu is hidden under three lines on low-resolution PCs, tablets, and cellphones.
Sign Board:
- You can also access content categories using the signboard (available on the home page only).
Content Cards:
- Recipes, other content, and cooks’ profiles are displayed on cards.
- To open content, click on the picture or headline of each card.
- Share by clicking on the share button.
- Save for later by clicking on the plus button (learn more here).
Advanced Access Tips
Course Button
A button available in any opened recipe that takes you to recipes from the same category (e.g., the Soups button will take you to the category about soups).
Cook’s Photo & Name
Find cooks’ photos on each recipe and other content, and open their profile by clicking on it (includes recipes, an About section, and more).
Nationality
Click on the name of the country next to the flag to open all available recipes of that nationality.
Diet
Click on the diet (next to the flag) to open all available recipes under that diet.
Cooking Technique
Click on the cooking technique to learn more about it and to see all available related recipes.
Ingredients
Click on any ingredient in the Ingredients section of the recipe to learn more about it.
Tools
Click on any tool in the Tools section of the recipe to learn more about it.
